Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, warehouses, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold sanitation standards
- Assist with food processing or manufacturing sanitation procedures by following strict hygiene protocols
- Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, waste disposal, and restocking cleaning supplies
- Operate heavy lifting equipment when necessary to move supplies or debris safely
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize cleaning schedules during operational hours or scheduled downtime
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in industrial, manufacturing, or food production settings preferred
- Hands-on experience with commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning techniques required
- Knowledge of sanitation standards applicable to food processing or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, or bending required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations or food processing facilities enhances effectiveness in this role
