Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. In this vital role, you will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for each patient appointment.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other restorative treatments using advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Manage patient management software and electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms for accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control standards.
- Support patient care through effective communication, managing appointment schedules as a dental receptionist when needed, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
