Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Dental Hygienists to join our clinics. We are open to per diem, part time, and full time schedules. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, infection control, and patient satisfaction. The Dental Hygienist will utilize their expertise to promote optimal oral health and support the overall oral health in the community.
Location: Multiple locations including Rainier Beach and Meridian
Hours : 4 x 10 - let us know how many days you want to work
Pay: Based on experience. New Grads welcome
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
- Conduct oral health assessments by examining patients' teeth, gums, and oral tissues
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and treatment options
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside support
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Monitor vital signs and assess medical history to ensure patient safety during treatment
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Manage dental equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory control
- Support infection control standards in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education
- Knowledge of infection prevention management and healthcare infection control standards
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently within a team environment
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements related to patient data security
