General Purpose of Position:
The Driver is knowledgeable and responsible for the safe transport of medically complex children to and from their home to a PPEC center setting. The Driver completes all vehicle inspections, maintains records/reports, and operates the transport vehicle cautiously while compliant with all state and federal regulations.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
- Valid State Driver’s License required.
- Clean driving record.
- Active BLS/CPR
- Current and annual TB PPD and screening.
- Be able to successfully passscreening for Fingerprint, Child Abuse and State Police Clearances.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, lift or assist in lifting an individual in an emergency.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and demonstrate flexibility.
- Must be able to see with visual and listen with hearing acuity.
- Must have strength and manual dexterity, including grasping and manipulating small objects, to operate medical equipment appropriately.
- Must be able to respond in an emergency.
