The Payroll Specialist is responsible for weekly payroll function for all employees.
- Process all payroll including related items such as new hires, terminations, garnishments and deductions, wage, tax and any other changes as requested by employees, department heads and staffing coordinators
- Respond to wage/unemployment verifications
- Process disability claims
- Process vehicle claims
- Ensure adherence to payroll policies
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state tax laws and other government regulations pertaining to payroll
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system with GTM experience/Timberline
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Associates Degree in Business Administration/Finance or related field •
A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered *
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer
