The care team is comprised of nurses, patient care techs, monitor techs, HUCs, education specialists, infection preventionists, care managers, physicians and nursing leaders. There are opportunities to become dobhoff, port certified and learn central line maintenance and care. From intensive care unit step-downs to respiratory patients- we see them all! As a PCU, we can start cardiac and insulin drips. It is a great unit to get a solid foundation of nursing skills in all the body systems.
- Our Multisystem PCUs are multisystem units which provides the opportunity for our nurses to care for a broad spectrum of patients. This will provide a firm foundation for understanding for a variety of processes and experience a little bit of everything. Our unit is designed to grow nurses. This is where the foundation of nursing can be learned and used as a stepping stone to PCU or ICU within the Orlando campus.
