Wally Castro Marine is a growing business in the premium Marine segment located in Puerto Rico, representing top worldwide brands like Boston Whaler, Azimut, Riviera, Cigarette, Bertram, Intrepid, Phenom and many others. With more than 40 employees and around double-digit revenue growth in the last 3 years. Business is expanding and diversifying strongly with 2 new locations, including a new service facility & warehouse and a new dealership location. A new product brand and an online sales process for parts is part of the diversification goals. Position will report to the President of the company and have competitive compensation.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Boat Sales Consultant with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the marine industry. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, knowledgeable about boat brands, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while meeting established sales goals.
Position Summary:
- The Boat Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned boats, providing excellent customer service, and guiding clients through the full sales process—from initial inquiry to final delivery. This role requires strong product expertise, the ability to assess customer needs accurately, and a proven capacity to close sales effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Sales and Customer Engagement
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate boat based on their preferences,
lifestyle, and budget.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all boat brands offered, clearly explaining
features, benefits, specifications, and competitive comparisons.
- Prepare and present detailed quotes; negotiate pricing and terms; finalize sales
contracts.
- Deliver a professional and consultative sales experience that builds long-term
client relationships.
B. Sales Process Management
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, responding to inquiries,
scheduling showings or sea trials, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory availability, product specifications,
and pricing.
- Coordinate with finance, service, and parts departments to ensure a seamless
delivery process.
C. Documentation and Reporting
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation for each transaction, including
deposits, contracts, and financing arrangements.
- Maintain organized records of leads, opportunities, and closed sales.
- Report sales activities and performance metrics to management as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in boat or marine industry sales.
- Strong negotiation, closing, and communication skills.
- Professional presentation and customer-focused mindset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Having a Captain license and experience in boating is a huge plus
