About Atmosphere Academy Public Charter Schools
Atmosphere Academy creates an "atmosphere" for learning in which students and teachers realize their potential as mindful leaders through enriching experiential learning and engaging coursework across all content areas. Atmosphere’s middle school offers students a rigorous academic curriculum, targeted instruction and engagement, advisory and restorative justice lessons, and engaging clubs and electives. Atmosphere’s high school provides students robust Regents preparation, early college credit, extensive college knowledge, international travel opportunities, and a diverse array of career-focused classes and internships.
Operations Associate
The Operations Associate works closely with the Operations Manager and is an integral part of the Operations Team. The Operations Associate will collaborate with staff, parents, community, authorizers, and students. All duties performed will be aligned with the school's mission and values.
Compensation
This position is a full-time, salaried position based on a salary scale to be compensated per semi-monthly pay period. Atmosphere also offers the following benefits that you will be eligible for:

Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree is required.
- At least 2 years of full-time Charter School Operations experience in a similar role.
- Proficient user of Google Office products (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive and creative problem-solver.
- Team player capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
- Familiarity with platforms such as ATS, Powerschool and ParentSquare is preferred.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
Duties
Food Service
- Assist with lunch duty on a daily basis
- Manage school food records
- Serve breakfast and lunch within your respective building
Attendance
- Manage/track attendance and tardiness of students
- Attend and participate in attendance meetings in respective building
- Produce attendance reports and provide timely updates to key stakeholders
- Generate letters and make phone calls home
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with families of chronically absent or late students in collaboration with school life and leadership
- Verify daily attendance by checking rooms
- Ensure attendance migrates successfully from the swipe card system to the student information system
Facility Management
- Conduct building walkthroughs and address any issues with teachers and custodial staff
- Think and plan strategically to help solve complex facilities issues
Parent Communication
- Answer phone calls on a daily basis
- Redirect parent concerns to correct parties throughout the day
- Make phone calls to all absentee parents throughout the day (with the Culture Team)
Scholar Health and Emergency Preparedness
- Manage all student physicals within that grade level in partnership with the NYCDOE School Nurse
- Manage all student medication with the NYCDOE School Nurse
Inventory
- Maintain supply closets in each classroom
- Maintain storage closet
- Keep inventory of furniture and materials and place orders for any missing items
Systems
- Assist with arrival and dismissal
- Assist with management of student information systems, including PowerSchool, ATS, etc.
- Support administrative duties, such as phones, outreach, events, and family and student emergencies
- Provide school-wide event support, including pre and post-planning and direct event support, as needed
- Any and all other responsibilities as delegated and assigned by the Chief Operating Officer, Operations Manager, CEO/Founder and other key personnel.
