About the Position
Cadillac Beverly Hills and Santa Monica GMC are looking for dependable and motivated Service Lube Technicians to join our Service teams.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has a mechanical aptitude and wants to build their skills and career in the automotive industry. Our Lube Technicians perform routine vehicle maintenance and light repair services while helping ensure our customers' vehicles are serviced safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Applicants may be considered for Cadillac Beverly Hills, Santa Monica GMC, or both locations, based on preference and business needs.
What You'll Do
- Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication services, tire rotations, balancing, and other routine maintenance.
- Check and replenish vehicle fluids and adjust tire pressure.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and communicate additional service needs or safety concerns.
- Complete assigned maintenance and light repair work according to repair orders and manufacturer standards.
- Accurately document work performed and inspection findings.
- Road test vehicles when necessary and authorized.
- Safely operate dealership vehicles, lifts, tools, and service equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of automotive fluids and materials.
- Communicate with Service Advisors and management regarding repair status or additional work needed.
- Participate in dealership and manufacturer training as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Basic automotive maintenance knowledge preferred.
- Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow repair orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate dealership vehicles.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and entering and exiting vehicles.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work in an automotive shop environment that may include exposure to noise, vehicle exhaust, automotive fluids, and moving equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, training, qualifications, and other lawful job-related factors.
Eligible employees may also receive Company benefits in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime and other wage-and-hour protections in accordance with applicable law.
