Job Summary:
ATC Mobility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of MIG welding processes and fabrication techniques, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, from setting up welding equipment and performing precise welds to modifying vehicle components and ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate welding equipment according to project requirements and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Interpret and apply engineering blueprints and drawings to determine welding and fabrication specifications.
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate a variety of machinery and hand tools used in the production process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring proper care of equipment and facilities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and focus on assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Perform manual lifting of raw materials, up to 60 pounds.
- Install protective coverings on vehicle interiors according to SOPs.
- Remove, reinstall, and reroute automotive components as required.
- Accurately mark vehicle components based on engineering specifications.
- Perform precise cutting of components according to SOPs.
- Utilize safety jigs to maintain OEM vehicle specifications.
- Clean and prepare welded components to meet quality and safety standards.
- Proactively contribute to quality enhancement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Ensure product completeness prior to quality control inspections.
- Facilitate thorough quality control inspections by designated personnel before advancing vehicles to subsequent workstations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in MIG welding on steel.
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering blueprints and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Experience in automotive component modification and installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail.
