Office Administrator
Position Summary
Durbin Electric is seeking an organized, dependable, and professional Office Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our electrical contracting company. This position plays an important role in keeping the office organized, supporting our field electricians, communicating with customers, and assisting management with administrative responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude is extremely important in this position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates well, treats customers and coworkers with respect, and contributes positively to the office environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Office Administration
- Manage day-to-day office administrative tasks.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments.
- Communicate scheduling and job information with field electricians.
- Maintain accurate customer and job records.
- Assist with estimates, proposals, invoices, and payment processing.
- Assist with accounts receivable and following up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare and organize documents, records, and other office paperwork.
- Assist with permits, inspections, and project documentation.
- Enter and maintain information in company software and systems.
- Track and organize important company information and deadlines.
- Assist management with administrative projects and business needs.
- Maintain an organized and professional office environment.
Customer Service
- Provide friendly, professional, and helpful communication with customers.
- Respond to customer questions and requests in a timely manner.
- Help coordinate communication between customers, the office, and field employees.
- Follow up with customers as needed regarding appointments, estimates, invoices, and completed work.
- Help ensure customers have a positive experience with Durbin Electric.
- Assist with responding to customer reviews and feedback when needed.
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and solution-oriented attitude when handling customer concerns.
Team & Field Support
- Support electricians and field employees with administrative needs.
- Help ensure technicians have accurate job information before arriving at a customer's property.
- Assist with coordinating materials, documentation, scheduling, and other job-related needs.
- Communicate important updates between the office and field team.
- Help management keep daily operations organized and on track.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.
Additional Skills — Not Required
Candidates with an interest or experience in social media, photography, video editing, Canva, or content creation are encouraged to apply. These skills may provide opportunities to assist with occasional company social media and marketing projects; however, social media and marketing are not primary responsibilities of this position and are not required for the role.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
