Regional Technical Sales Leader – North Central
La Leonessa of North America, Inc. (LLNA), headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, is the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of the international Leonessa Group, a global manufacturer of specialized power-transmission components used across a wide range of mechanical industries.
Our North American Sales Team has an ambitious growth plan to triple revenue within the next three years. To support this expansion, we are seeking a Regional Technical Sales Leader to manage one of the key macro-regions within the North American territory.
This role reports directly to the President of LLNA.
Because our organization is growing and evolving, the selected candidate must be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities when needed. Temporary assignments may become permanent based on performance and business needs, providing opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical & Commercial Development of the assigned territory
- Develop strong technical expertise in LLNA’s product portfolio
- Identify, develop, and expand new and existing business opportunities
- Build multi-level relationships with new customers and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with Technical HQ in Italy on technical project development
- Define and support customized product solutions based on customer applications, including technical and regulatory requirements
- Identify product improvement opportunities based on knowledge of production processes
Sales Planning & Performance
- Full coverage of the assigned territory in terms of f2f presence at the customers and prospects (road warrior)
- Support management in defining pricing strategies
- Prepare and communicate sales forecasts, value forecasts, and annual budgets
- Monitor competitors and market trends
- Drive order intake to meet revenue and profitability targets
- Coordinate with Customer Service/Back Office on pricing and offer updates
- Support Accounts Receivable with collections when needed
Customer & Project Management
- Understand and interpret customer technical needs
- Deliver technical presentations and training to customers
- Manage time independently to maximize face-to-face customer interaction across Purchasing, Engineering, Accounting, and Marketing
- Initiate requests for new product development or product modifications
- Follow up consistently on open projects, requests, and quotations
- Maintain full visibility of each customer’s:
- Sales and order history
- Profitability
- Pricing history
- Product history
- Payment status
- Open claims
Marketing & Brand Development
- Propose and support marketing activities to strengthen brand awareness
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Willingness to travel extensively and meet customers in person
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and solid understanding of basic mechanical concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong business acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
