Job Summary
Excellent full-time Orthotic Fitter position with a busy prosthetic & orthotic company that operates in Suffolk, Nassau, and Queens. Perfect opportunity for those with athletic training experience. This position will involve a fair amount of traveling as we see patients at various locations throughout Long Island and Queens. Looking for those willing to work weekends and weekday nights.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluating and fitting patients with a wide array of orthotic devices.
- Traveling between various locations. (Our Offices, Nursing Homes, Clinics, Hospitals, etc.)
- Communicating with coworkers, patients, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare workers.
- Filling out and/or acquiring necessary documentation for the dispensing of a device.
Qualifications and Skills
- This is an entry level position similar to an apprenticeship where you will receive hands on training in order to become a certified orthotic fitter.
- Must have a driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Athletic training experience would be a plus.
- Experienced and certified fitters are welcome to apply as well.
