Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend wine pairings or specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Assist with food handling, kitchen communication, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; training will be provided if needed.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and billing purposes.
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system or upselling techniques is desirable but not required.
