Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pizza Cook with a passion for creating delicious, high-quality pizzas and a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Handle food preparation tasks such as dough stretching, topping assembly, and ingredient portioning with precision and care
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, knives, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining a positive work environment
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of pizza or related dishes as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pizza Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards related to food safety, handling, and sanitation practices
- Demonstrated ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Skilled in knife techniques, food preparation methods, and cooking procedures specific to pizza making
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus for understanding special dietary needs
- Prior experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is beneficial
