We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C/APRN) who is passionate about helping patients optimize their health through evidence-based functional and integrative medicine approaches.
Position Summary
The Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including primary care services, preventive medicine, hormone optimization, metabolic health management, regenerative medicine support, and functional medicine evaluations. The ideal candidate enjoys spending quality time with patients, developing personalized treatment plans, and helping patients achieve long-term health outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide primary care services across the lifespan.
- Conduct annual wellness visits and preventive health screenings.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory testing and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
Functional Medicine
- Evaluate underlying causes of chronic health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing:
- Nutrition and lifestyle interventions
- Functional laboratory testing
- Nutritional supplementation
- Gut health protocols
- Detoxification support
- Stress management strategies
- Sleep optimization
- Educate patients on disease prevention and lifestyle modification.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Hormone & Metabolic Health
- Evaluate and manage:
- Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
- Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
- Menopause and perimenopause management
- Thyroid optimization
- Adrenal dysfunction
- Weight management programs
- Metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance
- Review and monitor hormone laboratory panels.
Regenerative & Wellness Services
- Participate in regenerative medicine programs.
- Evaluate candidates for:
- Peptide Therapy
- IV Nutrient Therapy
- Medical Weight Loss Programs
- Functional Wellness Programs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Patient Education
- Educate patients regarding:
- Nutrition
- Exercise
- Lifestyle modification
- Disease prevention
- Functional medicine treatment plans
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to improve patient compliance and outcomes.
QualificationsRequired
- Active Nurse Practitioner License (FNP-C/APRN)
- Current DEA Registration (or eligibility)
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Preferred
- 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Functional Medicine training or certification
- Experience in:

- Certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) preferred but not required
