Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to various locations according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery
- Verify deliveries against invoices or packing lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving to ensure personal and public safety
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving responsibilities
- Warehouse experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with load & unload procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform physical tasks related to moving goods safely
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation tools
