Job Description:
- Supervise loading and unloading of cargo off truck and ensure cargo is secured
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Inspect truck daily (pre and post-trip inspection) for damage or maintenance problems; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
- Verifying loads for accuracy
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as set forth by FMCSA
- Maintain vehicle equipment
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
Job Requirements:
We are looking for a safety-focused 48'-53' flatbed Owner Operator with a Class A and 2+ years of experience local to Houston willing to run local loads as well as regional, out-of-state, and short-haul.
- Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must have a TWIC Card
- Must be at least 23 years old
- 2+ years professional driving experience or related work experience
- Maintain 100% compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations
- Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles
- Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator
- Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
- Heavy Haul experience, a plus!
- Hazmat endorsement, a plus!
