We have an opportunity for an Inside Sales/Customer Support Specialist position for our Lenexa, KS branch. The right candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Receives and handles requests from customers and distributors for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, and order cancellations.
- Builds rapport with customers and works to ensure they receive excellent service.
- Uses computer database to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status.
- Provides pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers.
- Drafts purchase orders and invoices to submit to the accounting department.
- Maintains files of active orders and updates with changes to customer accounts or orders.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industrial Inside Sales experience is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude helpful.
- Understands sense of urgency and the ability to resolve urgent matters promptly.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with fellow teammates and customers
- Experience answering phones, processing quotes and orders in database system (order entry) required.
- Outgoing with a positive attitude and professional appearance and demeanor
- Knowledge of the aggregate, manufacturing, industrial, or mining industries very helpful
- Occasionally needed to make deliveries to a customer(5%-10% of the time)
- Valid Driver License with a clean MVR
- Basic Forklift, shipping and receiving experience helpful
- PC computer skills – Microsoft Windows and Office required
- Must pass Drug Test, DOT Physical & Background Check
