Floating Islands West handcrafts BioHaven® floating islands that help restore wetlands, improve water quality, and create wildlife habitat.
Since 2008, we've built each island by hand using recycled material—giving new life to material that might otherwise end up in a landfill and transforming it into products that support healthy ecosystems.
We're a small, family-owned company looking for someone dependable who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in doing quality work.
No manufacturing experience required. We're happy to train the right person.
What You'll Do:
As part of our manufacturing team, you'll help build BioHaven® floating islands from start to finish.
- General labor and shop support
- Assist with production and assembly
- Prepare materials for manufacturing
- Measure, cut, and use hand and shop tools safely
- Inspect finished products for quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Help with other shop tasks as needed

Bonus Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Applicants with backgrounds or interests in FFA, agricultural mechanics, welding, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and other hands-on programs

Schedule:
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Flexible daytime schedule
- Monday - Friday with potential and optional Saturday availability
- Open to slightly more or less than 20 hours per week for the right candidate
Pay & Benefits: $22.00 per hour
