TWST Bar is a full-service natural hair salon specializing in textured hair care. We are a cultural homecoming for natural hair stylists and textured hair wearers, creating a welcoming space where kinks, coils, curls, and locs are cared for with skill, respect, and intention.

Position Overview
The Salon Manager / Licensed Stylist will support both the client experience and daily salon operations. This role is ideal for someone with salon experience, strong communication skills, leadership ability, and hands-on experience with textured hair services.
In addition to styling clients, this person will help support the team, maintain salon standards, assist with daily operations, and contribute to a positive and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform natural hair services, including loc grooming, flat twists, and two-strand twists
- Support daily salon operations and help maintain a smooth client flow
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for guests
- Help guide, support, and encourage team members
- Maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and salon standards
- Assist with scheduling, client communication, and team coordination as needed
- Participate in ongoing education and in-house training
- Help uphold TWST Bar’s culture, values, and service expectations
- Use basic technology tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and salon-related systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Cosmetology License or Barbering License
- Natural Hair Styling Certification preferred
- At least 1 year of salon experience preferred
- At least 2 years of hairstyling experience preferred
- Experience with at least 2 of the following services: loc grooming, flat twists, or two-strand twists
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Open to feedback, training, and continued growth
- Basic proficiency with technology and administrative tools
Training and Growth
TWST Bar offers a 100-Day onboarding program for team members who align with our salon culture and are open to learning. Hours may increase as training is completed and service readiness is demonstrated.
If you do not yet have full styling experience, you may be required to complete training before working independently on the styling floor. Opportunities to assist, shampoo, or support the team may be available during training.
