Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and present beverage menus.
- Take drink orders from guests or servers.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Check identification of guests to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tops, equipment, and glassware.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Handle cash and process payments using POS systems.
- Engage with guests to provide excellent service and answer questions.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and handle situations as needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, serving, and management staff.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a bartender.
- Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
- Relevant training or certifications (e.g., Responsible Beverage Service, TIPS, or local alcohol service certification).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume or upscale environment.
- Knowledge of local/state liquor laws.
- Familiarity with bar equipment and POS systems.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, customer-facing hospitality environment.
- Nights, weekends, and holiday availability may be required.
- It's paid hourly plus tip.
