Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills to assist in ophthalmic procedures and examinations.
Duties
- Perform preliminary patient work-up including vital signs and history taking
- Assist ophthalmologists in various clinical procedures
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and visual field testing
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Utilize knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and optical products
- Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit
- Assist with medical billing and insurance claims processing
- Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
- Resolve escalated customer complaints
- Self-motivated.
- Sells LASIK & cataract Packages ; maintains lead tracking and reporting and conducts follow-up
recalls
- Solicits referrals from patients.
- Work and supervise a team of workers
- Collects payment and/or applies for financing from patients and reconciles daily cash
report
Requirements
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology field is preferred
- Proficiency in patient care practices and medical terminology
- Knowledge of retail math for optical product sales
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
