We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior, Supervisor, or Manager to lead complex engagements, oversee strategic tax planning, mentor rising accountants, and serve as a trusted business consultant to dynamic middle-market companies.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement & Project Leadership: Manage and oversee the execution of complex corporate, partnership, multi-state, and individual tax compliance and strategic planning engagements.
Proactive Client Advisory: Build lasting relationships with business owners and executives-looking beyond basic compliance to deliver creative, value-added tax strategies and operational insights.
Team Mentorship & Staff Growth: Supervise, train, and coach associates and senior accountants, fostering technical excellence through constructive review, feedback, and career guidance.
Technical Research & Problem Solving: Conduct high-level tax research on intricate state, local, federal, and transactional tax matters, delivering actionable position papers and strategies for clients.
Practice & Business Development: Participate in firm growth initiatives, client proposal presentations, and community involvement to represent the firm and expand market footprint.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience in taxation, including direct engagement oversight and team supervision.
Technical Breadth: Strong background in federal, state, and local taxation for pass-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships) and closely held middle-market businesses.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation (MST) is a plus.
Core Skills: Exceptional project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring others.
