Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role involves performing complex repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Candidates with dealership experience and expertise in modern automotive systems are highly preferred. Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics
- Perform engine repairs, including diesel engine repair and powertrain servicing
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake services
- Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS components, and other electronic modules
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs
- Conduct auto body repairs as needed to restore vehicle appearance and structural integrity
- Perform wheel alignments and suspension work to ensure optimal vehicle handling
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate repairs
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Dealership experience is a plus, especially with GM vehicles
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS, powertrain components, and vehicle diagnostics
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with diesel engine repair and auto body repair preferred
- Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed and completed
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
