Job Description:
Intelligen-Ashlor Staffing is currently searching for an Extruder Operator to fill a first shift position with a client located in Midland, MI.
The ideal candidate will have a solid work history, proven dependability, and a demonstrated mechanical aptitude. This role involves close monitoring of the mixing process. Experience using and reading measuring devices is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a twin-screw extruder converting equipment, primarily via a touch screen HMI, to produce polypropylene/paper pellets.
- Perform material handling, including weighing and staging raw materials and packaging, sampling, and performing in-process testing.
- Complete and maintain department paperwork and production documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and record of accurate documentation.
- Ability to use and read measuring devices and perform basic math for computing yields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
