Quality Assurance Technician
2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM | $21.95 per Hour
Are you detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about quality? We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in supporting quality operations by performing laboratory testing, inspections, audits, and data reporting to ensure products meet established standards. Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will:
- Perform chemical and physical testing according to approved methods and protocols.
- Analyze and interpret test results, communicating findings and trends to plant operations.
- Complete laboratory documentation, recordkeeping, and data entry into LIMS and SAP systems.
- Support product release activities and maintain accurate quality records.
- Conduct line audits, material inspections, and sample collection.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Manage laboratory supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Support external testing activities and research and development initiatives.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
- Complete assigned quality-related tasks as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
To be successful as a Quality Assurance Technician, candidates should possess:
- High school diploma with three years of laboratory experience, or a two-year advanced training degree.
- One to three years of analytical chemistry and instrumentation experience.
- Experience with quality systems and programs preferred.
- Working knowledge of analytical testing methods, laboratory techniques, and instrumentation.
- Understanding of laboratory safety regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of quality concepts such as GLP, GMP, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Experience with fertilizer chemistry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with SAP software.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on laboratory instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Instrumentation Experience
Experience with the following equipment and testing methods is highly desirable:
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- ICP Analysis
- Atomic Absorption (AA)
- Leco Instrumentation
- Spectrophotometers
- Wet Chemistry Techniques
Pay: $21.95 - $24.00 per hour

- Wet Bench Chemistry: 1 year (Preferred)
