Overview
Experience required. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals while providing them with the attention and care they need. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal care and are looking to contribute to a positive environment for pets.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management staff.
- checking in and out guests who are boarding or grooming with us.
Skills
- Strong experience in dog handling and animal care is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when moving animals or supplies.
- Knowledge of pet sitting practices and general pet care routines is beneficial.
- Experience with kennel operations will be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their well-being.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
