Production Associate
Job Summary
The Bottling Line Operator / Production Associate is responsible for assisting with the operation of the company’s bottling and labeling production line. This position helps ensure that bottles are filled, capped, labeled, packaged, and prepared accurately and efficiently according to company specifications and quality standards.
The position also assists with general warehouse and production activities, including material handling, maintaining a clean and organized work area, inspecting finished products, and supporting other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation of bottling and labeling equipment and production lines.
- Fill, cap, label, package, and prepare products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Load bottles, labels, caps, and other materials onto the production line as needed.
- Monitor the production line to ensure products are moving efficiently and correctly through each stage of the process.
- Inspect bottles, labels, caps, and finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper appearance.
- Identify and report defective products, damaged materials, equipment issues, or other production concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform basic assembly and production tasks using hand tools and other equipment as required.
- Follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality-control procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production and work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with moving, organizing, and staging materials and finished products.
- Assist with packaging, palletizing, and preparing finished products for shipment.
- Perform general warehouse and production duties as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to maintain an efficient production flow.
- Meet established production, quality, and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in bottling, production, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or a related environment is preferred but not required.
- Experience operating production or packaging equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic production equipment is preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to read and understand basic work instructions, labels, and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Preference: Bilingual in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with production and packaging activities.
- Ability to use hands and fingers with sufficient dexterity to handle bottles, labels, caps, packaging materials, and tools.
- Ability to visually inspect products and labels for quality and accuracy.
- Must have sufficient vision to read work instructions, labels, product information, and production documents.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and finished products as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a production and warehouse environment.
- Employees may be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and normal production noise.
- Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all applicable safety procedures.
- Proper personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
