Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs. We share lesson plans between tutors.
- Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to enhance the educational experience.
- Deliver clear, engaging instruction in subjects such as Math, Science, MCAS Prep, SAT Prep, and more.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education requirements.
- Manage classroom or virtual learning environments effectively to foster a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or program coordinators to ensure comprehensive support for each learner.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching at various educational levels, including early childhood education, preschool, high school, college, or adult education.
- Strong background in one or more STEM subjects such as Math (Algebra through Calculus), Organic Chemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related fields like Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Knowledge of learning technologies and digital platforms used for remote or hybrid instruction.
- Experience working with children and young learners as well as adult students is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments effectively and adapt to diverse student needs. Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
