Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, and backsplashes, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and durability. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with precision and professionalism, helping clients achieve their vision for both residential and commercial projects. Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces accurately using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise tile placement.
- Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools such as tile cutters, wet saws, drills, and grinders.
- Apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles firmly in place on floors, walls, or other surfaces.
- Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, waterproofing, caulking, and water damage restoration to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinetry, and other related components to complete the finished look of tiled areas.
- Conduct floor care and maintenance procedures post-installation to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
- Read schematics and blueprints effectively to follow project specifications accurately while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, flooring installation, tile laying, or related fields within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to tile installation projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, levels, chisels; power tools including saws and drills; and specialty equipment like wet saws or buffing machines.
- Experience with construction site work, including water damage restoration, remodeling projects, concrete finishing, and construction painting.
- Familiarity with fixture installation—including cabinets—and trim carpentry techniques for seamless finishes.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with hands-on experience in restoration industry practices or handyman work is a plus.
