American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring cardiac and neuro experience, with night shift availability and every-other-weekend commitment.

Acute care hospital setting with 276 staffed beds

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit

Patient ratio of 1:2

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a

Every other weekend required

Holiday rotation required

Floating within scope to like units is required, consistent with expectations for staff nurses (travelers float first)

Charting via Epic

No on-call responsibilities

Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active prior to start

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (2 years preferred)

Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required
-
Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
-
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; non-local candidates are prioritized

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Orientation modules are completed pre-start (approximately 4 hours)

Royal blue scrubs required

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
