SUMMARY
The operator will set up and run Laser Cutting Machine and NC Brake Press to fabricate parts using sheetmetal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, interpret, and follow blueprints and work orders to determine and create nesting programs.
- Review work order to identify job specifications - including verifying the required pressure of gasses, use of gasses, dies, and material
- Set-up, calibrate, and adjust laser machine and brake press for job specifications.
- Perform program and set up procedures.
- Operate brake press to form material/parts according to job specifications and programs.
- Review completed work to ensure parts meet company and customer quality requirements in accordance with ISO 9001/AS9100
- Assist to maintain Laser Machine and Brake Press and other equipment in the work area and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure Safety Standards are maintained

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Read blueprints, GD&T (a +)
Solid background working with sheet metal.
Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
Ability to distinguish material types including Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Steel, and Inconel.
Knowledge about shield gasses used during laser cutting operation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Technical Certificate or Associates degree in machine techonology or fabrication.
COMPUTER
Knowledge in NC; BOOST Programming
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effective.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Immediate supervisor Production Manager.
