Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Manage laundry duties such as washing, folding, ironing, and organizing linens or clothing items.
- Maintain floors through proper care techniques like carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and buffing to keep surfaces pristine.
- Ensure all sanitation protocols are followed diligently to promote a healthy environment for residents or guests.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs politely and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
- Handle janitorial tasks including waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in optimal condition.
- Assist with housekeeping management duties such as scheduling, inventory control of cleaning supplies, and training new team members when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with a strong understanding of sanitation practices.
- Skilled in various cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, and general janitorial tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and handling delicate fabrics with care.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and carpet extractors safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards or custodial experience is highly desirable.
