Central Jersey Nurseries is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our growing Power Equipment Division. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working with customers, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced retail and service environment. Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain the showroom, ensuring equipment and displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and power equipment shipments. Sell power equipment, parts, and accessories to walk-in customers. Process customer purchases and financing applications through our financing partners. Check in customer equipment for repairs and maintenance. Create repair work orders and communicate with customers regarding repair status and equipment pickup. Assist with inventory control and stocking of parts and equipment. Support the Power Equipment Manager with daily operations and customer service. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications Previous retail, sales, service, or parts department experience preferred. Experience with outdoor power equipment is a plus but not required—we will train the right candidate. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Schedule Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Required Saturdays during April and May Full-time
