Prepare, review, and file customs declarations, entry documents, and post-entry amendments in accordance with CBP regulations.
Classify products based on HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes and determine correct duty rates and trade program eligibility.
Ensure compliance with U.S. customs laws, import/export regulations, and partner government agency requirements (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.).
Provide clients with regulatory guidance, compliance updates, tariff changes, and trade agreement applications (e.g., USMCA).
Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, government officials, and internal teams to facilitate timely release and shipment delivery.
Maintain current knowledge of customs law, trade regulations, and industry developments.
Manage customs audits, binding rulings, post-summary corrections, protests, and recordkeeping compliance.
Investigate and resolve customs-related issues, holds, or discrepancies.
Train staff on customs processes, compliance standards, and documentation requirements.
Maintain broker license in good standing, including CE requirements and compliance.
