Job Summary
The full-time newsroom paginators are responsible for the layout and design of The Times Leader Media Group’s print and e-edition pages. They thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strict timelines. They collaborate with other paginators, editors, reporters, photographers, and the advertising and prepress departments to deliver accurate, well-organized, visually appealing, and high-quality content for our print and digital readers. Attention to detail, creativity, and efficiency are all of the highest importance. Education and/or experience in journalism or a related field is preferred.
Location:This is a strictly on-site/in-person role based at our downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, office.
Skills/prerequisites: The preferred candidate will have education and/or experience in all or a combined majority of the following areas:–
Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop– Microsoft Outlook– Microsoft Office– Page layout and design– Writing– Editing/proofreading– Associated Press style– Apple/Mac and PC/Windows proficient– Graphic design– Page design– Photo editing.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
