We are looking for an energetic, organized, and people-focused leader to help oversee the daily success of our recreational program.
Position Summary
The Recreational Program Lead serves as the primary support person for our recreational gymnastics program. This role combines floor leadership, coach support, customer service, scheduling, and program management to ensure classes run smoothly and provide an exceptional experience for athletes and families.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and systems, has strong leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Floor Management
- Ensure all recreational classes start and end on time
- Assist with gym setup, circuits, and equipment organization
- Monitor classes throughout the gym and provide support where needed
- Assist coaches with spotting, class management, rotations, and behavior issues
- Step in to teach classes when coverage is needed
- Respond to minor first aid situations and parent concerns
Coach Support & Leadership
- Support coaches in following lesson plans and rotation schedules
- Review weekly lesson plans and answer coach questions
- Help train and mentor new coaches
- Ensure classes are delivering a consistent, high-quality experience
- Communicate program expectations and standards
Scheduling & Staffing
- Manage coach schedules and shift coverage
- Assist with finding substitutes when needed
- Monitor staff attendance and timecards through When I Work
- Ensure proper staffing levels for all classes
Parent & Member Experience
- Build positive relationships with athletes and families
- Help new families find appropriate classes
- Address questions and concerns professionally
- Support enrollment and retention efforts
Administrative Support
- Take attendance and ensure accurate records
- Assist with recreational program events and showcases
- Support the Recreational Director with daily operations
- Assist with special projects and program development
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Gymnastics, cheer, dance, sports, or recreation experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Comfortable problem-solving independently
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
