Line Cook / Prep Cook
Wolf & Mermaid is seeking dependable, hardworking Line Cooks / Prep Cooks to join our growing food service team in Los Alamos, NM. This position will work in a fast-paced, cafeteria-style environment preparing and serving a variety of fresh food for a high-volume operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and established procedures
- Perform daily food prep, including chopping, portioning, cooking, assembling, and packaging
- Cook and prepare food for cafeteria-style breakfast and lunch service
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies
- Work efficiently as part of a team to keep service running smoothly
- Complete opening, service, and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, cafeteria, or commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume food service environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Los Alamos
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with kitchen work
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, food safety standards, and workplace procedures
- Food Handler Certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Monday–Friday
Daytime schedule
Starting at $18.00 per hour
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available

- Be a U.S. citizen
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
