Member Duties : Facing decades of disinvestment, Back of the Yards residents need increased access to quality housing services, affordable homes, and affordable home loans. Our Full Circle Homes program helps residents reduce debt, build credit, and maintain affordable homeownership, but not enough households in our community are aware of TRP’s resources and services. The Housing Organizer VISTA will expand access by enhancing community organizing and strategic outreach, securing partnerships, increasing resident engagement, and driving more participants to Full Circle Homes. The VISTA will collaborate with the Director of Organizing for Housing to create outreach materials, coordinate community presentations, build local partnerships, and organize residents. During service, they will also train staff, Parent Mentors, and other community residents on topics such as housing programs, recruitment strategies, and other topics related to affordable homeownership and housing justice.
