Wages are dependent upon a history of relevant field experience. Wage increases are based on a merit-shop environment. Job sites are located throughout Northern New England.
Carpenter / Rodbuster is a skilled craft position working on civil, industrial, and commercial construction sites. This person will use wood and other common building materials to construct permanent structures, such as buildings. They will also use pre-engineered form systems, wood, and other common building materials to construct complex concrete formwork. Carpenters are expected to install reinforcing steel and to place and rough-finish concrete.
Regardless of prior formal training or experience, a Carpenter / Rodbuster / Mason must demonstrate the ability to carry out, or quickly learn, and competently execute all essential functions of the position on the job.
The position requires heavy physical work under all environmental conditions. Good physical conditioning is important to success in the position. Familiarity with the use of common hand and power tools is a pre-requisite.
The position requires travel within New England -- either a driver’s license and reliable vehicle, or a practical alternative plan for getting to the jobsite, is a requirement of the job.
