Our growing wood plastic composite manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and versatile Production Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to multiple aspects of our production process, including blending, extruder operation and maintenance, and material handling.
Responsibilities:
● Operate and monitor blending equipment to prepare raw materials for extrusion
● Set up, operate, and monitor extruder machines to produce high-quality wood plastic composite products
● Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on blending and extruder equipment
● Handle raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper storage and organization
● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures throughout the production process
● Manage raw materials supply and inventory
● Assist in coordinating shipments of products to customers
● Collaborate with production team members and management to improve processes and efficiency
● Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records for blending, extrusion, and material handling activities
Requirements:
● Applicants MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience operating manufacturing equipment and a firm grasp of industrial work flows
● Strong understanding of blending processes, extruder machines, and material handling equipment
● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
● Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications
● Proficient in using computer-based control systems and inventory management software
● Strong communication and teamwork skills
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
● Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
● High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
● Forklift certification is a plus
