Orlando office and at onsite locations
Visionary Systems is looking for an IT Specialist 1 to work out of our Orlando office and travel to other sites within Florida. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, delivering outstanding customer service and expanding their technical knowledge.
As an IT Specialist 1 you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, providing remote and on-site technical support. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, user support, system administration tasks, and escalation of complex issues to senior technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to business clients via phone, email, remote access, and occasional on-site visits.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Create and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, email, and mobile devices.
- Monitor and respond to alerts using remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
- Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist with workstation deployments, software installations, and IT projects.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding user accounts.
- Support onsite installation activities as well as onsite troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Good attention to detail and documentation habits
- Ability to install and terminate CAT 6 cable
