Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental needs of infants from birth to toddler age. Your expertise will inspire young children to explore, learn, and grow while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. As a leader in our center, you will collaborate with families and staff to create a positive, engaging, and educational experience for every child.
Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to infants’ individual needs and milestones
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language development, and social-emotional growth
- Supervise and engage with children to ensure safe play and proper behavior management
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that complies with health and safety standards
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child protection policies at all times
- Provide first aid or pediatric first aid as needed, responding promptly to any injuries or health issues
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities
- Support ongoing professional development in early childhood education, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in daycare or preschool settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and pediatric first aid required
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect
- Skilled in child supervision, behavior management, and creating engaging learning environments
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, daycare center standards, and early childhood curriculum planning
