Per Diem
The IDRC Counselor is responsible for providing a 12-hour education program to persons convicted of an alcohol/drug-related traffic or boating offense per court order.
Responsibilities
- Provide didactic education during a 12-hour class, utilizing state-approved curriculum.
- Complete on-site screenings of all class participants/clients to determine if a substance use evaluation is warranted as per state criteria.
- Explain screening results and expectations to clients.
- Coordination of referrals to affiliated treatment agencies and other resources as needed.
- Complete required paperwork, including Records Release Authorizations with clients.
Enter screening information into state databases.

Requirements
- Clinician holding a CADC or CADC Intern
- LCADC preferred
- Other licenses may be considered if the scope of practice involves the substance use population (e.g. LPC, LCSW, RN, LPN, etc)
- Experience with or personal interest in working with substance use population
- Computer proficient
- Knowledge of NJSAMs is a plus
- Previous experience working with mandated clients is preferred
- Group counseling experience, particularly psychoeducational is preferred
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish
Hours: 4 PM - 10 PM 4-6 times per month (2-3 classed per month)
Salary/Pay Rate: $25.00 or $30.00/hour for Bilingual English/Spanish
