We are seeking a hands-on QC Supervisor to lead and support our quality control team, ensuring all products consistently meet the company’s strict quality standards. This role is responsible for overseeing daily QC operations while actively contributing to the assembly, rework, and repair of lighting fixtures and displays in accordance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to balance team leadership with technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct quality control inspection team.
- Adopt existing quality procedures and create new procedures and processes as needed.
- Gather inspection data and report to Plant Manager.
- Identify QC issues with existing stock and react accordingly to ensure the product does not ship to customers..
- Ensure records are clear, accurate, and organized.
- Develop and maintain QC reports to be reviewed with the Plant Manager.
- Understand product specifications for finished goods and replacement parts.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, and perform basic reworking of light fixtures.
- Communicate with other QC inspectors regarding defects and overall quality of inbound goods.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Manage daily inspection/non-conformance log.
- Maintain physical and virtual inventory of product in all QC bins.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic assembly instructions and procedures.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Other duties as needed.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Control (QC) experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience working with brass, nickel, bronze, and other finishes.
- 3 years of inventory control experience.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Strong manual dexterity, including good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available).
