Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various types of residential siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, and metal panels with precision and care
- Use hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding to safely complete siding installations on diverse home structures
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, caulking, and performing minor repairs to ensure proper siding adhesion and durability
- Assist with related exterior projects such as trim carpentry, framing, gutters, masonry work, or roofing when needed
- Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury or damage
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project timelines are met and customer expectations are exceeded
Skills
- Siding experience a must
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools (nail guns, saws), and scaffolding equipment
- Familiarity with schematics, construction site safety practices, heavy lifting techniques, and restoration processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance
