Job Summary
Piatt County, Illinois is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and collaborative individual to serve as Assistant County Finance Officer. This is a 35 hour per week position. The Assistant County Finance Officer performs all services and acts reasonably necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities bestowed upon them by the Piatt County Clerk and Recorder.
Responsibilities - The Assistant County Finance Officer is responsible for assisting with the county's financial reporting and tracking functions by entering transactions and managing recordkeeping for the county's accounts as well as assisting with Payroll Administration.
Common Duties
- Recording transactions in the appropriate account ledgers using spreadsheets or accounting software
- Reviewing account ledgers for accuracy and correcting errors
- Preparing and filing basic financial documents
- Reconciling accounts
- Organizing receipts, invoices, and physical copies of financial documents
- Maintaining compliance with financial reporting regulations
- Completing research and assisting colleagues as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
