Maintenance Technician II
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Facilities Management
STARTING WAGE: $21.63-$26.44 per hour, adjusted for relevant education and experience.
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

What You’ll Do
You will oversee the hands-on maintenance, preventative care, and safety compliance for our assigned residential facilities.
Maintain & Repair: Tackle general repairs, basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, appliances, cabinetry, and light construction.
Prioritize & Organize: Manage, track, and complete incoming work orders based on urgency, safety, and facility needs.
Inspect & Prevent: Identify maintenance needs early to avoid major disruptions; keep accurate logs of inspections and repairs.
Lead & Collaborate: Guide and support Maintenance I staff, assist with scheduling, and recommend when to bring in specialized external contractors.
Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain properties in line with safety codes and licensing standards (such as Adult Foster Care regulations).
Required:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience required.
Skills & Abilities: Strong general maintenance background, including working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems.
Preferred:
Appliance repair, general construction background, and prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Familiarity with Adult Foster Care (AFC) licensing rules, MSHDA, or similar regulatory standards is a strong plus
