We are seeking a caring and dependable Bus Assistant to support student safety, well-being, and positive behavior on district transportation routes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all students during transit.
Ensures Student Safety and Well-Being

Supervises and manages student conduct while on the bus.

Monitors student behavior, enforcing district guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

Addresses minor discipline issues promptly and respectfully, and reports serious concerns to the Transportation Safety and Behavior Facilitator.
Supports Student Needs

Assists students with needs that may arise during the route.

Fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere to help all students feel safe and valued.
Maintains Open Communication

Works closely with the Transportation Safety and Behavior Facilitator.

Provides daily updates on student behavior, progress, and any problem-solving efforts.
Commitment to Professional Growth

Attends required meetings, training sessions, and in-services.

Stays current on best practices in student management and safety protocols.

Hourly Rate: $21.20 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Vary depending on route and assignment
